Van Ranst specialises in lost-wax casting, also known as cire perdue. In our own casting department, we cast for goldsmiths, jewellers, jewellery brands and artists.
We combine a craft-based approach with the capacity for unique pieces, collections and larger runs.

Lost-wax casting.
Lost wax is a casting technique that accurately translates fine details and complex shapes into metal. The model is invested, after which the wax disappears during burnout and makes way for the molten metal.
We work with traditional wax models, but can also process supplied 3D-printed models in wax or resin. We do not do CAD design or 3D printing ourselves. Our specialisation is preparing and casting the model.

Moulds for collections and series work.
Would you like to develop a collection or have a design produced in series? Then we can make a mould from your original model.
With this mould, we produce new wax models so the same design can be cast again. The moulds and waxes are made entirely in-house. This allows us to handle small series as well as larger runs and recurring collections.
Casting in silver, bronze and 14 and 18 carat gold.
Three specialisations, the same precision.
